This wonderful rare Haviland Limoges toothbrush holder has Theodore Haviland Mark 25 in underglaze green. The mark includes, "Th Haviland" over three castle towers and "Limoges" in script and "France" printed, ca. early 1890's. The mark can be seen on page 190 of "Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" by Mary Gaston. The toothbrush holder is 4 3/4" tall and about three inches wide at the widest part. The toothpick holder has a beautiful gold lace trim on the top and a sponged gold trim on the bottom. T is a wonderful hand painted floral design of daises and roses all around the holder. The holder is on a reticulated bottom that is attached to the holder. The holder is in excellent condition without any chips, crazing, cracks, or repairs. T is a little of the gilt missing on the scalloped edge of the opening of the holder. It does not detract from the beauty of this wonderful piece of Victorian history.
