1893 BIRMINGHAM, KEY WOUND AND SET FIFTEEN JEWEL PATENT BAR LEVER, LADIES OPEN FACE SILVER POCKET WATCHFULLY SERVICED & IN PRISTINE CONDITION THE CASE A floral ornate Sterling silver four bodied open face case, hallmarked on both covers Birmingham 1893 . serial numbered 78574 to match the movement and case maker stamped J.N. (Jules Nordmann, 13 Hatton Garden London). The floral engraved back cover with central vacant cartouche is spring loaded to open by pressing the button at the top of the pendant. The inner hinge opening silver cover is worded 'Patent Lever Full Jewelled' and engraved with the serial number 78574 . both keyholes have an engine turned rim. The side band and front bezel also have floral decoration.
Case condition : The case is in very good clean condition with a clear distinct floral pattern,the rear cover springs open strongly and fully, it has strong hinges with all three covers opening and shutting correctly and a tight fitting hallmarked silver bow. The case measures 41.7mm (1.6 inch) in diameter, not including the crown or bow measurement and weighs 56g (2oz) including movement. The case has no personal inscriptions and no faults THE DIAL & CRYSTAL A white enamel dial with black Roman numerals,blued spade hands & an inset subsidiary dial at 6.
