Jeanne Bécu, Comtesse du Barry (Marie-Jeanne, Comtesse du Barry) (August 19, 1743 - December 8, 1793) was a French courtesan who became the mistress of Louis XV of France and is one of the most famous victims of the Reign of Terror.

The books features attractive blue cloth binding with gold design on cover and gold lettering on spine. Lettering on spine is faded. Cover have armorial crest. Covers firmly attached. Binding shows some general corner wear and loss at very top edge of spine.

Book is a good size, measuring 9 1/4" high and 6 1/4" wide.

All pages are clean and tightly bound. Rear endpage creased. No writing in book at all and no signs of previous ownership.

This is a very attractive and scarce book.

Book is in overall very good condition!

Would make a nice addition to a collection.
