31" long 8" high wooden, probably white pine, with 11 hand forged iron hooks. 2 pieces, top board is 2 1/4" wide, attached by 2 hand cut nails to the flat boardTraces of green paint and a lovely patina all around. The 9 or so holes going across board were used to hold pegs for hanging candles or herbs.Great one of a kind piece from my private collection. Got this in the late 1970's with the cubboard shown in photo near Amesterdam New York in the Mohawk Valley. The cubboard is ca. 1740 and the rack was one of the pieces that I got from an early house t No real damage other than a hook broken and a small sliver of wood off that was done over a hundred years ago. This is a great go with for any primitive collection.
