Thüringische Lancers No. 6 was a Lancers - Regiment of the Prussian-German army . It was in the wars of liberation as part of the Lützow Free Corps set up and heard the regiment with the demobilization after the end of World War I in 1918-19 to exist.In the wars of liberation uniforms Lützower cavalry were basically black, because this color was the only color that could be established uniformly by coloring the one in army depots and on the market different cloth inventories. Then there were red as facing color of advances and golden brass buttons. Lancers wore the tunic , Hussar Dolman and elements . General were shako worn. The lance flag of Uhlans were black and red. The rather incidental Uniform colors are considered as the origin of the "German tricolor " black-red-gold . This uniform was only after the Battle of Waterloo by the regular Prussian blue Koletts and fur hats replaced. As line regiment wore the former Lützower ponceaurote badge with white buttons. 1860 replaced the Ulanka the Kolett and otherwise the regiment wore the standard uniform of the Prussian Uhlans. 1903 received the epaulettes the red crowned monogram CR
