Up for auction we are offering a superb 1905 Vienna Art Tin Plate with a beautiful Wagner Victorian lady portrait and with a stunning ornate rim. The plate is signed Wagner in the bottom area of the woman's hair. The back reads Vienna Art Plates, Pat. Feb. 21 st 1905. The H.D. Beach Co., Coshocton, O. Compliments of American Sheet and Tin Company, Pittsburgh . This plate made from our show card stock. Has a price sticker: Altus Gift Shop, $4.95. The young Victorian lady on the plate has long dark hair with a red cap against a deep emerald green background. She is wearing a cream colored gown. The rim is dark blue with gold overlay and greenish pearl dots. The plate is 10" in diameter. The plate is in excellent condition for its age. The litho is completely intact with very fine scratching/crazing across the cheek. It is very minor and mentioned for accuracy. The back has some rust around the center rim and a little on outer rim. T are no dings or dents. Vienna Art plates are round metal serving trays produced at the turn of the century. The designs, copied from Royal Vienna porcelain plates, usually featured a portrait of a women encircled by a wide, ornate border. Many were used as advertising or promotional items and were produced in Coshocton , Ohio . The plate comes from our grandmother's estate and would make a wonderful
