This listing is for 3 yearbooks of United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD: 1914, 1915, & 1919. The content and condition of the 1914 book is below. The condition of the other 2 books is substantially similar, as originally listed on eBay. The Lucky Bag highlights the 1913- 1914 school year and the students graduating in 1914. This yearbook covers a wide range of activities on campus. Seniors have individual formal portraits and biographies. Other classes are shown in group portraits with an alphabetical list of names. Includes a Class History for the Class of 1914 which includes the "cruises" undertaken to train the sailers. These cruises apparently spanned the world. One of the more interesting aspects of this book is a retrospective section to what the Naval Academy was like in 1861, just prior to the Civil War. At this time, yearbooks in general, and the Lucky Bags especially, were becoming more artistic. Prominent illustrators were commissioned to provide artwork for the yearbooks. This book is full of such fabulous illustrations. The book is in good condition. The cover has substantial wear around the edges and is cracked at the spine. While the cover is securely attached, care is recommended. The binding and spine are strong. The pages are securely attached and are clean with no writing or marks. There is occasional
