1915 Opium and Cocaine Register for Druggists, To Record Prescriptions, Unused

This lot offers the registry book shown in the photographs. It measures about 11 1/2 by 9 inches. This register was printed by the D.O. Haynes Co in 1915. In the front are 8 green pages which spell out the laws and regulations for manufacture, sale, or distribution of opium or coca leaves. The bulk of the book is made up of blank pages where the druggist would record the date, parties involved, and the prescription number for the sale of the narcotics. None of the pages have any writing on them. There are 152 pages to record transactions. The book is in very good to excellent condition for being 95 years old.
This is the equivalent of recording current day Sudafed sales. Back in 1915, these products were not illegal, just monitored.
