Cards, Comics & Collectibles presents:

HOLY HISTORY! Hey t, VINTAGE BASEBALL Fans ..... 's an AMAZING 1917 ~WILLS CIGARETTES~ "Sports Of The World" card # 26 (from a Series of 50) entitled: "BASEBALL", from AUSTRALIA .....and it 's in EXCELLENT-MINT Condition (in MY opinion), and LOOKS INCREDIBLE!

Take a look at the scan.....the ONLY minor flaws evident on this ~1 1/2" X 2 1/2"~ GEM are the lightly rounded/worn corners..... THAT 'S IT! T are NO CREASES, NO STAINS, NO TEARS, and NO PAPER LOSS!

The COLORS are EXCEPTIONALLY RICH, the BORDERS are CLEAN & BRIGHT WHITE, the CENTERING is "DEAD-ON" PERFECT , and the CHROMOLITHOGRAPHY on the card's FRONT has a GREAT "VINTAGE" LOOK to it, and is INTRICATELY DETAILED !

Titled simply ~"BASEBALL"~ on the ORNATELY designed back, the card's description states:

"Baseball, now looked upon as the national game of the U.S.A., is really a glorified development of the old English game of "ROUNDERS". It is played upon a diamond-shaped field, at one end of which is the "home base", the other angles being the 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd bases. A rounded wooden club is used to strike a hard ball." !

I haven't been able to find ANY listing for this card series in the 2007 Standard Catalog Of Baseball Cards, so I don't really know
