C. 1920 NEZ PERCE BEADED NECKTIE - EX. CARL MOON COL.

Offered is a great early 20th c and rarely seen white man type necktie used by Nez Perce as a necklace. It measures 10" long and 12" wide, not including the suspension ties. The leather backing appears to be brain tanned and the beadwork is strung with cord / string. This amazingly graphic tie is the actual piece pictured in Tom Driebe's book: "In Search of the Wild Indian" on page 331 and is from the Carl Moon collection. The condition is excellent with no bead loss that I can see. I can sell pieces like this anywhere, so if there is not much interest in this, I will pull the ad. Please see my other auctions for more neat stuff and more from this historic collection. Also please read our terms. Thank you.
