1925 Purdue University Homecoming Medals and #2 Patch

You are bidding on some RARE memorabilia from Purdue University. These items were my grandfather's when he attended and played football at Purdue in the early 1920's. All three items come in an antique 3-section hinged jewelry box that measures 7" long x 4" deep x 1.5" tall.

The first item is a very unique homecoming medal that was created for the Purdue/Indiana U game which was the first game played at the original Memorial Stadium on the campus of IU in Bloomington, Indiana. This medal is in excellent condition and bears the Boilermaker Black and Gold on the ribbon and features the words "HOMECOMING" on the pin front piece. The body of the medal shows an image of Memorial Stadium on the front side with the year 1925 at the top. The rear body states "DEDICATION OF MEMORIAL STADIUM-INDIANA UNIVERSITY---INDIANA VS. PURDUE---NOVEMBER 21, 1925". The manufacturer of this medal is Whitehead-Hoag. Dimensions: 3" long x 1.5" wide.

Also included is a second medal of a golden colored horse shoe on a blue ribbon. Dimensions: 3" long x 2" wide. I don't know the origin of this except there is a hand written note under the ribbon in the box which may have
