offered is a nice 1930's art deco modernistic ronson "vee" concealed ladies vanity pocket petrol lighter in need of repair. the chrome plated lighter features an engine turned design with tortoise brown enamel and a pull out delight mechanism. the "vee" lighter was first designed in 1936 by louis v aronson and is one of the most important ronson pocket lighters of the 1930's. they originally came with a tassel and were marketed as a ladies evening vanity lighter. it is highlighted in the ronson book as figure 37 with a value of $400+. the ronson measures 2-1/4" tall x 1-1/4" wide and is in good used condition. the mechanism is missing the snuffer cap and thumb press which can be replaced. there are numerous small nicks and dings along side edges. the enamel has use wear and a tiny nick but is mostly complete. the mechanism is marked art metal works with patent information. the lighter will look better once repaired and cleaned. overall - an important vintage 1930's art deco enamel ronson "vee" lighter in need of repair for your collection. lighter is sold "as-is - no returns". overseas is first class airmail except SHIP COST to italy-china-HK-southeast asia-vietnam-thailand-indonesia-eastern europe-russia-philipines-australia-spain-greece-france-turkey-mideast- via usps registered mail only-$28. please make sure to read my vintage
