Karl Griesbaum

Hobo / Drunk / Whistler

Working with Original Key

This amazing 1930s music box still works, bellows and all.

The finish is original and in excellent condition with great deep color and attention to detail. Approx 19" tall, with the base measuring about 5-1/4" x 3-3/4" approx.

I do know how the bulb turns on. The bulb is solid and the connections appear good. The is an old repair to one glass panel that is hardly noticeable

The Karl Griesbaum factory operated out of two small buildings in the Black Forest region town of Triberg.

The factory, which was known for its mechanical whistling birds and hand carved wooden figures.

This is stamped with the Griesbaum logo and Ken-D. The bellows appears to be in good functional condition.

The head moves well. The mechanism winds well.
