1933 Blue Bird Babe Ruth, Front View SGC 60 EX 5 Plus Store Sign & Ad. It took sixty years for this very rare premium to be discovered in any quantity and it still remains on the rarest Ruth collectibles. The portrait of Ruth is the same classic batting pose found on his R309 Goudey Premium, just framed slightly differently. This "Blue Bird" grape juice advertising premium was part of a small group discovered in 1994, previously only the Halper collection could claim to include one. The thin 3-7/8" x 5-7/8" card advertises Blue Bird grape juice encouraging "Boys" to save bottle caps to exchange them for a Spaulding Babe Ruth professional glove or a baseball. All four corners show very light wear, surfaces are blemish-free and there is a complete lack of any creasing. Graded SGC 60 EX 5, this is one of a total of six graded by SGC. The portrait is finely detailed and problem-free. Also included is a rare approx. 9 x 12" store sign on thick card stock promoting the same bottle cap & cash for a baseball or glove offer, FR to GD condition and a approx. 6 x 3" one-color Narragansett Spring Gingert Ale Co. ad with same offer (EX/MT). Grade: 60, Service: SGC, Service No.: 2214326
