1934 Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig & Arky Vaughan Signed Photograph

1934 Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig & Arky Vaughan Signed Photograph. A bit of research confirms that the Iron Horse was a simple stroll from his home ballpark when this photographic study of Hall of Fame legends was captured. While the three signers were regular fixtures at the All-Star Games of the 1930's, the player at far right, Mickey Cochrane, only made two Midsummer Classic appearances, in 1934 and 1935. Only in the former did the American League wear their road uniforms, definitively establishing the place and time as the Polo Grounds on July 10, 1934.Presumably it was an employee of the publication that utilized this original news photograph that requisitioned it for signing, as a touch of editorial alteration appears on the front, and handwritten identifying text on reverse. Handling wear is evident at the edges of the 7x9" image, with a small tear beneath the man in the suit the most significant fault. Foxx and Gehrig's black fountain pen autographs rate a solid 9/10, with Vaughan just a point lighter to their right. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
