This is a fabulous piece of Postal History (Manchukuo/U S A). 1934 Joined pair red 15 fen stamps Pu-Yi. Plus 2 single stamps (Liaoyang Pagoda). The 15 f stamp is the key stamp from this series. (only 100,000 were printed). Addressed from:American Consular Service,Manchuria. Addressed to:Secretary of State,Washington D.C. Registered cover. Measures approx. 8 x 11 inches. It came out of a large envelope of covers with Roosevelt Collection stamped on outside envelope.Auction is for just this cover. This cover is the front only. 1 MAR 34 began the new era called Kangde (In Manchuria). These stamps cancelled 12.4.34 so very early usage. The 15 fen stamps were used primarily for overseas mail.Most of the stamps were discarded by non-collectors so few survived. This cover is very early in the new era and has historical importance.
