1937 Horsman Jo-Jo All Composition Tin Eyes 12" Doll

1937 Horsman Jo-Jo All Composition Tin Eyes 12" Doll TLC
1937 Horsman Jo-Jo All Composition 12" Doll TLC This little sweet pea is Jo-Jo (JoJo), made by the E. J. Horsman Company in 1937. She is a chubby little girl doll, jointed at the neck, hips and shoulders. She has molded hair, and green-blue tin sleep eyes that work well. This doll is shown in various doll books, for example p. 277 of the book, "Collector's Encyclopedia of American Composition Dolls" by Ursula Mertz. The doll is also marked on the back of her neck, Jo-Jo 1937 Horsman. This doll is in need of a dolly doctor, because she has lots of crazing, chipping and peeling of her composition paint. T are no broken limbs, fingers though -- she just needs some skin treatments after 72 years. She is wearing a mommy made outfit that looks like it is as old as she is, with a little smocked floral dress and matching bonnet. Jo-Jo is from a nonsmoking home.
