We are delighted to offer this very rare 1940 era Vintage Unopened 4/5 Quart Collectable Decanter of "The White Horse Cellar Scotch Whiskey " in pristine condition at no reserve. The label states as follows: The White Horse Cellar From The Original Recipe 1746. Seriel No. AP554894 White Horse Distillers - Glasgow, Scotland. T is a wonderful graphic of a stagecoach with the following text beneath: All that are desirous to pass from Edinburgh to London, or any other place on their road, let them repair to the "White House Cellar", in Edinburgh, at which place they may be received in a Stage Coach every Monday and Friday, which performs the whole journey in eight days (if God permits), and sets forth at five in the morning. Allowing each passenger 14 pounds weight, and all above, 6 pence per pound. February, 1754 This is a monumental specimen in outstanding shape with a fine front label, a white graphic of a white horse at the lower reverse side, as well as a raised relief image of a small horse in glass above the front label. The reverse labels is torn as are two other smaller "white horse" labels located at each side of the bottle. An extremely rare offering for the discerning collector or connoissuer.
