1940's Comet P8/3505 54" Taylorcraft balsa flying model airplane box and plans

Up for auction is an awesome original 1940's box for Comet Kit No. P8 Taylorcraft 54" flying balsa wood model construction kit for rubber power. Also includes full-size black & white copy of later-issue equivalent Comet Kit No. 3505 Taylorcraft plans. Originally designed by Joseph Konefes and kitted by Comet in the 1940's, this classic free flight model was essentially in continuous production by Comet until their demise in the 1990's. Made in the U.S.A. Classic stick & tissue balsa construction with printed balsa parts.

The overall condition of this particular example could best be described as good. Box is intact with minor shelf wear. Included in this auction are the box, copy of plans, ~half a dozen original printed balsa parts (cut from their sheet), a few balsa sticks, photocopy of printed balsa parts sheet #2 and photocopy of printed balsa parts sheet #3.
Originally designed for rubber-powered free-flight, this beauty would also be a fantastic candidate for modern micro R/C gear & electric power!
