Found in a basement of an old drug store, this is a 1940s Jergens Twin Make Up Face Powder Box that is unopened with full contents, is 3 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" tall and is in very nice condition with very light wear and bright colors. Our research on the internet found the following information on this powder box: rivaling Coty's famous Lalique Puff Logo, Jergens hired two names to promote this powder: ALIX of Paris and Alberto Vargas. Vargas - better known for the Esquire Varga Girl Calendars, designed this lid and the Varga Girl ad images, which lasted only a few months because of contractual problems. A great Display Item. Please see our other auctions as will be listing additional items found in this old drug store.
