1941-D Very high end Mercury Dime, PCGS67 Full Split Bands. The interesting thing about this coin is the unusual holder. PCGS introduced "Shield" grading for a premium fee, and then shortly after that, changed their holder design to the "edge view". They only produced shield holders in the old blue style for a very short period of time. Probably doesn't mean much to most collectors, except for the few like me. (I admit it...I hate the new edge view holders as they physically cover part of the rim of the coin. Am I alone in this opinion?) 99 cent starting bid ten day auction. Happy New Year!
