An original page of unfinished, unpublished romance comic art, circa: 1950s. Pencils on heavy Strathmore paper 14 1/2 x 23 inches, with lettering. 1/2 inch clean tear on bottom margin, otherwise just surface dirt and dust (see front and back pix). Not sure who the artist is because without inking it's pretty hard to identify the style - probably a NYC comic artist because the elderly owner had a commercial art studio at Lexington Avenue and 34th Street, NYC in the late 1940's - early 1950's - he often hired comic artists because they could work fast and did people well. Unfortunately the owner has lost most of his memory and doesn't have employment records any more of that business -- possibly it would have been cash payments for these free lance "moonlighting" artists in any case. But it definetely looks like a 1950s splash page (page one) to a story that was to be titled "Love Asks No Questions." I will ship flat - the paper is too thick to roll without risking it cracking.
