A word about bidding: I often hear from disappointed bidders who were "locked out" of an auction before it closed because ebay was sluggish, or even down. T is a way to prevent this from happening to you! The best prevention is to let the computer do your bidding! When you bid on an item, rather than placing the minimum bid, place a bid that represents the highest amount you're willing to pay for that item. The computer will take over from t and automatically place counterbids in your name, up to the amount you specified in your bid. This is called "proxy bidding" and is a wonderful feature of ebay auctions.
