This is an original press photo. Pat Flaherty, the 1956 Indianapolis 500-Mile Race winner who was injured last August in a race mishap, is shown here after his arrival from the Chicago home to supervise the construction of a new race car. With him are his wife, Marilyn, and daughter, Colleen, 17 months. Flaherty, still recovering from his injuries, will be at Indianapolis only as a Coach this year, supervising the car he drove to victory in 1956 and a new car to be driven by Troy Ruttman.Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches.
