This is a very very special item ! It is from the estate of Lou Fandrick who was staff photographer for the Manitowoc Herald Times in 1960. The morning of March 30, 1960 John F Kennedy's plane was grounded by fog in Milwaukee so his entourage traveled to Kaukauna for a speech to 1000 people. Eventually they traveled to Manitowoc where 400 people waited at the Manitowoc Hotel. After the speech, according to his family, Lou Fandrick requested that the Senator sit for a quick informal portrait which Mr Kennedy was happy to do. This is the original image from that sitting. The photo image itself measures 10 1/2" x 13 1/4". The frame measures 20" x 24" There is very minimal surface, corner and edge wear to the frame. This item would make a fantastic addition to any collection !
