JAPANESE BUSINESS / PSYCHOLOGY TRAINING KEEPSAKE ALBUM

This auction is for a photo album memorializing the 'sensitivity' training conducted in Gotemba, Japan in August 1963. This album was created as a thankyou / keepsake gift from the training participants and presented to Dr. Massarik and his family.

The training was conducted by UCLA Psychology Professor, Fred Massarik. (see bio below). The album has a dedication inscription on the first page in Japanese and the date below also written in Arabic numerals.

On the verso of the first page is also written:

"... To Dr. Fred Massarik and Family.

As the memory of your first and successful conduct of Sensitivity Training at Gotemba Japan.

From the S.T. Group of I.B.A.M. Tokyo ..."

In researching the acronym 'IBAM" all that seems to surface is the 'Institute of Business and Applied Management'. Given Dr. Massarik's work, it's possible this 'sensitivity training' has something to do with this organization, but it isn't readily clear. I can find no historical information re: IBAM before the early 1990's.
