1978 USA-Made Fender Telecaster Custom!

Great Player, Killer Tone, Fender Case!

First introduced by the Fender Electric Instrument Company in 1951, the Telecaster has been the axe of choice for many serious guitarists. The list spans all musical genres. Keith Richards, James Burton, Albert Collins, Danny Gatton, Merle Haggard, and Buck Owens are just a few. A number of Telecaster models have been offered through the years, the Custom first appeared in mid 1959 with a bound top and back, rosewood 'board, and two Tele pickups, was offered until 1972. A second edition, still retaining the classic look, but now with unbound body and one Tele pickup/one humbucker, was introduced in 1972. Other features include standard Tele bridge pickup, covered humbucking neck pickup with logo-embossed cover, 4 control knobs, 3-position selector switch, 6-saddle bridge, 21-fret maple neck with black dot inlay and "skunk stripe" on back, elongated pickguard surrounding all controls, Fender machines, and bullet truss rod.

Overall this 32-year old Telecaster Custom (also referred to Custom Telecaster in some literature) is in terrific overall condition and plays effortlessly. Personally, I love humbuckers on Teles and if suppose if you can't have a Thinline (with dual 'buckers), a Custom is the next best thing. This '78 is in
