1983 Memorial Cent MS Missing Clad Layers ErrorThe current coin lists as: 1983 Memorial Cent. Missing clad layers. Beginning mid-1982, the composition of the one cent piece changed. Instead of a 95% copper and 5% tin-zinc composition, the one cent piece would now be composed of a zinc core with a plating of pure copper. Naturally, there were some teething troubles at the mints and this is one of the errors. This is a fine error piece that will delight numismatists of all ages and those with a passing interest.Let's discuss offers: If we have "make an offer enabled", please make a reasonable offer. If we do not have that option enabled, please DO NOT email us about a lower price.Let's discuss feedback: We are not perfect. When we make a mistake, we will admit to it and fix it. We respectfully request that you leave 5 star feed back to help maintain our seller fees low. Most people do not realize that 4 star seller ratings make seller's fees go up.
