Great vintage 1992 "Designed exclusively for the Warner Bros. Studio Store" large sized Water / Juice / Milk Jug 80 Ounce (10 cup) Pitcher with FOGHORN J. LEGHORN Rooster Looney Tunes Cartoon Character in an overall Southwestern design. In very good vintage condition - with one tiny chip on the spout (see picture). Overall a heavy, beautiful piece of WB Cartoon history - Measures 8-5/8" tall by 9-1/2" wide (spout to handle) and a circumference of 20". Neat vintage large Art Pottery Jug/Pitcher with everyone's favorite Rooster famous for his bold yet bashful attempts to win Miss Prissy's heart (really? I'd take him anyday!) ....
Foghorn is a large, anthropomorphic adult rooster with a Virginian accent, a "good ol' boy" speaking style, and a penchant for mischief. He has a knack of saying, "I say" as a form of interjection in his speech. Other recurring themes throughout the cartoons included the attempts of the diminutive Henery Hawk to catch and eat Foghorn, and the rooster's efforts to woo the widowed hen Miss Prissy (often by babysitting her bookish son, Egghead, Jr.)
Later, some of Foghorn's characteristic catch-phrases were drawn from the character of Senator Claghorn. The rooster adopted many of Claghorn's catch phrases, such as "That's a joke, I say, that's a joke, son." The references to Claghorn were obvious to much
