RARE 19th C. Brown Velvet Mouse Pin Cushion! Very Early

This brown velvet mouse is so EARLY and TINY! It dates from the 19th Century and is guaranteed old. It measures a mere 2 1/2" long and 1 1/4" tall! I have a penny in my photos to give you an idea of its small size. It is made of brown velvet, the nap of which is worn in areas, primarily on the sides where it would have been picked up and handled over the years. There are no holes and the seams are all tight. It appears to be hand-sewn with tiny stitches and black thread. It feels as though it is cotton or wool filled--very firmly stuffed! This mouse has tiny black glass seed bead eyes. There is evidence that it once had ears, whiskers, and a tail, all of which are long gone. It is still a very special, early piece of 19th Century American sewing folk art. Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos. Winning bidder to pay $6.00 for priority mail shipment with delivery confirmation. Prompt payment via paypal is appreciated. PLEASE NOTE: The brown calico sewing rollup is not included in this auction will be offered in a different auction this evening. Thank you for your interest in my auctions!
