Two very beautiful 19th C. Chinese Famille Rose porcelain spoons with carp decoration and iron red hand painted seal marks. Can't make out whether they're Xianfeng or Tongzhi but I'm pretty sure it's one or the other. Very finely potted, light as a feather with none of the clumpiness associated with later pieces. As you can see by the photos the handles aren't perfectly in alignment, I imagine with the porcelain being so thin maintaining the shape during the firing stage was problematic. 16 cm long approximately, weigh together 65 grams. In excellent condition with no cracks or chips, but the gilding on the edges has rubbed off in many places.
