Two Antique Stoneware Whiskey Jugs
For auction, a nice pair of antique New England whiskey jugs made of glazed stoneware crockery, probably late 19th C, from an old New England family.
The larger holds a bit over a gallon and has a rounded top. It measures 7" in diameter and 11" tall. It has an imprinted 'G' on the side per photo. Excellent condition with the exception of one tiny impact ship on the side.
The smaller has a conical top and holds about 2-1/2 quarts. It measures 5-1/2" in diameter and 9-1/2" tall. Excellent condition with hairline crazing, one void on the bottom from the original manufacture.
