PAIR OF LOVELY ANTIQUE SILVER TEA STRAINERS WITH MOTHER OF PEARL HANDLES AND UNDERPLATES/STANDS MARKED "WL & Co. EPNS" 'MADE IN ENGLAND' are a pair of absolutely lovely Silver Tea Strainers with gorgeous Mother of Pearl Handles. They each have their own individual underplates or stands. T are markings on the bottom of both of the stainers as well as the underplates. The engraving reads "WL & Co. EPNS Made in England". From my research, I believe that the WL stands for William Lock & Co. of Birmingham, England which made silverware beginning in the year of 1893. The EPNS stands for Electro-plated Nickel Silver. Both silver strainers are in Excellent Condition without any chips or dents and have a beautiful silver finish. The mother of pearl handles have beautiful irridescence and are securely attached to the tea strainer without any looseness. T is some minor surface wear to the underplates. The silver tea strainers measure 6 inches in length, 2 1/4 inches in width and 1 inch in depth. The underplate or stand measures 3 1/2 inches in diamater. Whether you are a collector of beautiful vintage English silver or silver tea accessories, this pair of gorgeous silver tea strainers and stands would make a wonderful addition to your collection to use or display. The silver tea strainers and stands will be sent by Priority Mail.
