1862 US Diplomatic Correspondence, 2 Vols.U.S. Department of State Part 1: Volume 1 Part 2: Volume 2 These two books on 1862 are tightly bound with beautiful gold on leather. All the dispatches in these two volumes relate to the US State Department's correspondence during that year. The contents are documented thoroughly. The SUBJECTS are categorized in the front of each volume plus FROM WHOM and TO WHOM, along with the COUNTRY of the recipient.
The bindings' fine leather decoration match the gilt page edges. The condition is free of markings and torn pages. The front spine and front cover joint show wear on each volume. The end papers are not torn at the crease on either. The volumes measure 9-1/4" x 6-1/4".
The dispatches were communicated to Congress December 1, 1862.
