3 Vintage BELLEEK Basketweave SHAMROCK pieces, see pics

Vintage BELLEEK Basketweave cup and saucer set plus a matching 6 ounce creamer pitcher -- classic Shamrocks in time for St. Patrick's Day!

The saucer is 5-5/8" across, the cup is 2-1/8" tall and 3-5/8" across the top, and the creamer pitcher is 3-1/2" tall to the tip of the spout.

Now, I collect Shelley china myself and know nothing whatever of Belleek. I acquired these 3 pieces as part of a huge lot of 100 teacups and saucers a few years ago, which naturally I bid on because t were several Shelley duos included in t I especially wanted. ;-) So I went to the internet and found a great site that explains all about Belleek backstamps:


Each of these 3 pieces has the 6th Mark (3rd Green), which dates them to 1965-1981. That makes sense, as the teacups I bought were all vintage, from the 1930's to the late 1960's, most of them being from the 1950's and 1960's. These Belleek pieces appear to have some age to them, judging by the accumulated dust, bits of grime and minor crazing -- late 1960's is quite likely correct.

What lovely, delicate china! I can see why Belleek is so popular with collectors. If you look at the well of the saucer in pic 3, the slightly dark spot is actually the green backstamp showing through! The china is that translucent. The basketweave pattern
