Up for your consideration is a prototype (one-of-a-kind) 32” doll by William Tung. She is a sitting doll. Don’t know when this prototype was made nor was it ever produced in volume. She has no box or a certificate of authenticity. She does have the doll maker’s signature and 0/0 Sp. (Sp. stands for ‘special’) written on the back of the neck. I purchased this doll in 2009 from a friend of Mr. Tung. Mr. Tung had given him some dolls from his warehouse that he was liquidating. Mr. Tung is no longer in the doll making business. This young lady has a porcelain head, arms/hands and legs/feet. Her eyes are a pretty blue with applied eyelashes. Her face is perfectly blushed and exquisitely painted. She has light pink-blonde hair that is full of long loose curls. Maybe light strawberry blonde? (Can’t quite describe it.) Please see photos as they show details much better. She is a beautiful doll! She is wearing a well-designed costume that is also very well made with finished seams. It is a peach, satin, empire waist dress with 3/4 length sleeves. There are lace caps over sleeves at the shoulder and lace around the hemline of the satin underskirt. The skirt has a sheer organza overlay trimmed with beige, pink & peach rosettes at the ruffle (hemline). The bodice is trimmed with beige, pink, peach & iridescent rosettes & other flowers.
