35mm early VITAGRAPH studio very pretty shade of original brown lacquer on the metal, 14.5" by 1.5" held 2000 feet of vintage filmVitagraph was bought by Warner Bros. in 1925 ~ a very nice piece of history to add to your collection ~It is hinted Maurice Costello employed with Vitagraph and was mentioned to the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, though; the startingemploy has him as Nov. 19, 1940 (a mentioned press release issued by Paramount Pictures ).This is a remarkably pretty reel, though having the bends and crunches in its metal. Embossed into the metal both sides is the Goldberg of Denver stamp, PAT. 2, 105, 334 2, 105, 530Around the edge diameters: MFG. BY GOLDBERG BROS. DENVER COLO.On one side only edge diameter larger print: VITAGRAPH 10 ' 40Different from other reels : run your fingers along the inner reel where the embossing is located on the outer side you can feel the emboss, such a fine vintage reel.
