41 Vintage Dresden plate quilt blocks handmade from cotton feedsack fabric. Each block is 13 1/2" wide. The spokes are hand sewn together, and the 4 1/2" solid yellow center was basted and then machine sewn into the center of the wheel. You will be amazed at the variety of fabric patterns. T are small florals, plaids, polka dots, conversation prints, checks, large florals, stripes, and geometrics. The colors range from reds, pinks, blues, greens, yellows, black, brown, purples, and range from light, mediums, and darks for great contrast. T are enough blocks to make a huge king size quilt or two full/queen quilts, depending on the lay out of your quilt. I don't believe the blocks have been washed, as the edges have not frayed. T are a few segments that have a small stain, but I think they will come out with gentle hand washing. Also, because of the odd number of blocks (41) you will have an extra block if you wish to replace a segment. I am a quilter, and if I were going to make a quilt with these blocks, I would remove the yellow inner circle and replace it with a slightly larger circle that would allow the plates to lay flat. T are tucks in many of the blocks because of the way the center was sewn. Then the blocks can be appliqued by hand or machine to a background fabric.
