The following approximate one hundred unreserved auctions are for the dispersal of a recently discovered archive of original photographs, negatives & glass lanterns by various photographers of airships, dirigibles, observation balloons, Zepplins, Submarine Scout Class, Coastal Class [airships] etc, etc from the UK, USA, France, Japan, Russia etc, etc. Also to include a rare set of images [negatives] of the R101 airship disaster in October 1930 taken at Beauvais, France . [To include gun carriages at the disaster site removing the bodies, carrying the dead through Beauvais to the train station before journying to Boulogne and on to Dover via HMS Tempest]. Please Note :- All items are original unless stated but please be aware I am not an authority on the subject of early flight [airships, blimps, observation balloons dirigibles] and have very little knowledge on the subject. Where the subjects have been annotated I have included this in the description. You must verify the information for yourself. Please also bear in mind the slides have only been scanned and not enhanced in anyway. [83] This auction consists of an original photograph of the LZ-72 airship in flight circa 1916.
