you have a WWII Bronze Star Medal in near mint condition in the original presentation box. The grouping includes the ribbon for the tunic and lapel button for civilian wear. Further the medal itself and the ribbon bar have oak leaf clusters. The OLC represents a second award of the Bronze Star Medal. The BSM and ribbon bar has pin back devices. The case is in outstanding condition (t is a difference in the color on the case and an indentation w something was laid on the case. The medal, ribbon and lapel button are in near mint to mint condition. The Bronze Star Medal was issued for valor in combat as well as for meritorious service in support of a combat action. All GI and Paratrooper recipients of the Combat Infantry Badge in WWII automatically qualified for the Bronze Star Medal by Act of Congress. The hinge works well on the case. The colors on the medal and ribbon are vibrant and perfectly preserved. The medal is not named or numbered. Again the oak leaf cluster represents a second award of the medal.
