The sets are large and the motifs, splendid. But it seems pattern names are often lacking. We always strive to provide identities for every item listed.
And par for the course, as it is also true of the most famous of researchers: that pattern identification errors occur.
Having spent a great deal of time in our attempts to identifiy this pattern, we still erred. We were not correct in our original determination.

Although we were aware that clear trunks set in strawberry diamond was a motif, a notable motif, in Hoare's pattern "St. James". We had not seen enough of the pattern to ascertain their width; we deemed them more as splits. However, on page 132 in the Blue Hoare Catalog, there is an illustration of the pattern [St. James] in which the clear areas are indeed wider and similar to those found in our punch bowl.
