Original Oil Painting ’Harrison Street, Oakland’ byFred Martin From The “Dying City” Series 1957 - 1958 ~ please scroll down for more photos and information ~ SIZE: Painting - 8” x 10”���/���Frame - 12.5” x 14.5” DESCRIPTION:Rare and early original oil painting by Post War California artist, Fred Thomas Martin (born 1925).Oil on masonite. Framed. Unsigned. Notations on reverse.(Most, if not all, of the paintings from this series seem to be unsigned) This painting was purchased from the estate of Esther Fuller. Esther Fuller was a friend of Fred Martin’s and was the Art Commissioner of Oakland during the 1960’s as well as a founding member of the Oakland Museum and an artist in her own right. This painting was given to her by Martin and is part of the series he painted in 1957 and 1958 called “Harrison Street ; Paintings of a Dying City”.
