AC REHBERGER IRON FIREMAN ADVERTISING ASHTRAY VINTAGE METAL MACHINE AGE ROBOT

Fantastic old Iron Fireman advertising ashtray made by the A.C. Rehberger Company of Chicago in the 1930's. This figural ashtray has a Machine Age robot-like mechanical man shoveling coal, supposedly into the Iron Fireman furnace it advertises. The detail is beyond excellent, from the rivets in his mechanical suit to the lumps of coal on his shovel. It stands 4.5" tall on a 6.5" by 4.25" base, and weighs 2 lbs. Both sides are embossed "IRON FIREMAN", and the back is inscribed "A.C. REHBERGER CO. CHICAGO". The ashtray has a double well separated by three cigarette holders. All in great shape. Whether you collect figural advertising characters or Machine Age decor, this one's a classic. Win it with your best bid.
