ACCIDENT INSURANCE Trade Card BROOKLYN THEATRE FIRE ISSUED BY: FIDELITY AND CASUALTY COMPANY OF NEW YORK. DATE: Not dated but circa 1885. SIZE: 3 1/8 X 5 1/2". Click on the image above to see an enlarged scan of this card. DISTRIBUTED BY: C. M. Winslow, agent, Brockport, New York. DESCRIPTION: Depicted are some of the worst accidents imaginable. These include being struck by lightning, being dragged by a horse, being shot during a home invasion, a railroad crash, a man losing his legs beneath a trolley car, and a railroad worker crushed between two freight cars. At the center of the card is an illustration of patrons fleeing the fire at the Brooklyn Theatre, w 300 died in 1876. CONDITION: This trade card is in near fine condition. Removed from an album, t is faint discoloration on the reverse. TERMS: Scan is an accurate representation. Item is guaranteed to be authentic and as described and is returnable .
