DESCRIPTION .Lt Lobeling and Asemann (7 photos) taken from varied height on 16/8/1918: West Albert, Brestle, Senlis, Lawrence Fme, Lahoussoye, Lavieville areas, size: 7 X 5 inches or 17.7 X 12.6 cm They have been marked with red and green pen to indicate gun emplacements, lorries and transport, presumably of British and Allied troops. Photograph 7 is stuck on brown paper and named beneath as being Albert. I should imagine with aid of maps, it is possible to work out what is being transported by whom. This is no doubt the big allied advance of 1918. The straight road leading to through the Somme is recognisable on several photographs and vehicles can be seen upon it. A wonderful piece of history, but damaged as seen They have been pulled them off a wall in a hurry and saved from fire. These are unique and wonderful for research!
