This is an original oil on canvas painting by Agapito Labios. It is signed " Labios" lower right and measures about 18 inches by 24 inches. With the frame it is 26.5 inches by 32 inches. It is in good condition, with no rips or tears. It looks like it could use cleaning. It hung on my Grandmothers wall for a lot of years. I know this is real because she had a lot of stories about meeting the painter Agapito Labios . A self taught artist Labios was imprisoned for his participation in the Mexican Revolution. While in prison he painted on his cell walls. Impressed by Labios' skill the mayor of the town ordered Labios to paint portraits of the mayor's daughters. Labios then made his living by painting oils of children. He later had a shop called Mercado de Artesanias La Ciadadela Mexico City. He is listed in Davenport's Art Reference, and on .Please email any questions. I am not a art collector, so I will do my best to answer questions. I will be selling more of my Grandmothers painting, so be ready. They will be priced to sell...
