Up for purchase is this 19th Century Bronze done by the hand of Albert Ernest Carrier Belluse 1824-1887 and completed in the mid 19th Century. For those that are unfamiliar with this great Sculptor Belluse was the instructor for Rodin. This French Bronze by Belluse has measurements of approx 25" high and approx 10.5" wide and approx 14" deep. The Bronze is in very good condition but has some Patina wear as is evident in my pictures which I ask you to go over closely and then ask any questions.A little bio on the Master is in order so.... Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse trained as a goldsmith, then entered Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1840 under Pierre-Jean David d’Angers. He went to Petite Ecole to study, worked in London from 1850 to 1855, designing ceramics and metalwork models . In 1857, he exhibited sculptures at the Salon, received medals and important commissions. 1851 to 1870, Emperor Napoleon III hired him to work on the rebuilding of Paris. Styles: naturalism, Realism, neo-Baroque, and Rococo. He instructed Auguste Rodin **All my Bronzes are originals. I do not deal in reproductions nor Re-strikes nor Recasts.
