1946-1952 Albertype Baseball Hall of Fame Plaque Postcard ~ Type 2

FRANK FRISCH ~ Excellent/Near Mint condition

Beginning in 1944 and continuing for nearly a decade, the Albertype Company of Brooklyn, New York was responsible for issuing official postcards depicting the actual Hall of Fame plaques for the National Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, New York.

For two years (1944 and '45) Albertype's cards listed "Cooperstown, N.Y." at the bottom (front) of each card with the state in abbreviation form (i.e. "N.Y."). Collectors refer to these as Albertype Type 1. In 1946, the style changed to being identified with the state spelled out: New York. Collectors naturally catalog these as Albertype Type 2's.

This card is an Albertype Type 2 card of Frankie Frisch in Excellent-Near Mint condition.
