Alhambra Austria China VICTORIAN CHOCOLATE Cup & Saucer
Up for bid is a delicate petite Alhambra porcelain cup and saucer. I think it was probably made for a Chocolate set. It is a child's size. The cup measures 2 1/2" across and 1 3/8" deep; and the saucer is just 4" in diameter. The underside of saucer is marked: Alhambra AUSTRIA. The cup is marked only AUSTRIA. (Alhambra was a pattern that came out of Vienna Austria in the early 20th century. The pattern is in gold with bold burgandy red and deep green geometric shapes. T is a little bit of minor wear on hand painted gold vine leaves on inside of cup. Also a little bit of wear on gold trim line on edge of saucer. Otherwise no color wear, marks or scratches! It is a beautiful little C&S set!
