Altmann Licensed Luke Sywalker X-Wing helmet Star Wars full size, RARE #250

Lucasfilm Licensed Star Wars X-Wing Luke Skywalker helmet, by Steve Altmann of Altmann's Armor. He had the Lucasfilm Star Wars license for helmets to be sold in Austalia and the southern hemisphere, until about 2004 or so. This is # 250 of the X-Wing helmet line (see pics).

I purchased this several years ago from its former owner, and it has been on display in my private collection, smoke free environment, since that time.

This is NOT a "scaled" or "mini" version, but a wearable movie replica helmet. Larger than the common Don Post/Rubies versions, the helmet is made from a thick, firm plastic with detailed interior padding (see pics), with a chin strap cup and faux microphone attached.

Great display piece! Minimal wear and tear. The stand is NOT included. I do NOT have original packaging or certificate of authenticity.

This is certainly one of Altmann's better helmets in the Star Wars line - nice detailing and weathering, solid construction. The only real fault I can find with it is that the yellow visor lens (which moves up and down) has numerous small imperfections in the thick pastic, and seems to be set a little too far back in the helmet. It presses up against my forehead when I wear the helmet; it still feels a little tight on me.
